Product Introduction

Overview

The extensive use of conventional fossil energy has led to challenges such as resource depletion, environmental pollution, and climate change. As a clean, renewable, and sustainable energy source, solar energy has become an important component of global energy development strategies.

With the rapid growth of photovoltaic power generation, photovoltaic (PV) cables have been widely applied in solar power plants and distributed PV systems. Compared with conventional power cables, solar cables are required to meet higher standards in terms of weather resistance, UV resistance, temperature endurance, and long-term reliability.

Driven by the continuous development of the photovoltaic industry, the PV cable market has become increasingly specialized, with diversified product structures and specifications. CABMAC provides systematic solutions for photovoltaic cable production, supporting stable and compliant manufacturing of various solar cable products.

Process Flow of Solar Cable Production

Taking EN 50618 standard single-core insulated and sheathed photovoltaic cable as an example, the typical production processes include the following options:

Process 1

Process 2

Process 3

These processes ensure stable conductor structure, reliable insulation performance, and long-term durability of photovoltaic cables under harsh outdoor conditions.

Cross-Linking & Insulation Material Support

For photovoltaic cable insulation and sheathing, CABMAC can provide electron beam irradiation cross-linking equipment when irradiated cross-linking is required.

When irradiated XLPO is used as insulation and sheath material, electron beam irradiation equipment is applied to achieve the cross-linking process. Compared with traditional cross-linking methods, this technology features faster cross-linking speed, improved production efficiency, and stable product performance.

CABMAC can also support the supply and application guidance of XLPO insulation materials, helping customers optimize raw material usage and ensure consistent finished cable quality.

Technical Services by CABMAC

In addition to equipment supply, CABMAC provides comprehensive technical services, including:

▪ Project scheduling and production process planning

▪ Equipment installation and commissioning

▪ Operator training and trial production support

▪ Raw material usage recommendations and process optimization

▪ Assistance in reducing production costs and improving efficiency

By integrating equipment, materials, and technical services, CABMAC helps customers shorten project cycles and establish stable photovoltaic cable production lines.

With extensive experience in cable machinery and photovoltaic cable production processes, CABMAC delivers reliable and scalable solutions for solar cable manufacturing.
