Recently, a CABMAC Hi-Speed Aluminum RBD Machine was successfully installed at the customer’s site. The machine is designed for aluminum rod drawing production, drawing aluminum rod up to Φ9.5 mm into round aluminum wire with a finished diameter range of Φ1.7–4.5 mm. It is suitable for the pre-processing of aluminum conductors used in wire and cable manufacturing, including overhead conductors, building wires, and other aluminum wire applications.

The machine features a high-speed drawing structure, with a maximum drawing speed of 25 m/s and up to 13 drawing passes. It can support stable production at different output diameters, including up to 1200 m/min for Φ2.5 mm and Φ2.6 mm aluminum wire, 1100 m/min for Φ3.0 mm aluminum wire, and 1000 m/min for Φ3.2 mm aluminum wire.

The complete line consists of a pay-off stand, main drawing machine, tension control system, dual-reel take-up device, and electrical control system. The main machine is equipped with a 200 kW AC motor and adopts full-immersion lubrication, helping improve drawing stability, wire surface quality, and the service life of dies and capstans. The tension system uses pneumatic tension control, while the dual-reel take-up device supports automatic reel change during production, improving continuous production efficiency.
